Bradford Older People’s Centre has put together a new programme of events.
The group is hoping to make Culture Fusion in Thornton Road, Bradford, its permanent home and has already expanded its drop-in sessions from one to four days a week.
Helping the group to start its new activities, including creative writing classes, dance, exercise and music sessions, was Councillor John Godward (Lab, Great Horton).
Coun Godward supported the Bradford People’s Centre initiative through his Lord Mayor’s appeal during his Mayoral year in 2009/10.
“I think it is excellent and I hope people will use it and the experimental period will be extended to keep it going because the people of Bradford need this,” he said.
“This is an excellent place to go to make friends.”
Booking is essential for activities. Call (01274) 395144 or 07896 308208.
