A Bradford post office owner is celebrating after seeing his business crowned Yorkshire’s ‘Post Office of the Year’ for the second time.
Kiran Basra, who has run the Bierley Superstore and Post Office on Hambledon Avenue for the past four years, was presented with the 2013 award at Wakefield’s Waterton Park Hotel.
The accolade, which the store also won in 2010, is given by the Yorkshire Independent Grocer’s Association, which uses mystery shoppers to rate the service in post offices all over the county.
Mr Basra said: “I’d like to thank all our customers for their loyalty, as it’s really down to them that we’ve won this award.
“We were praised on the range of services we offer and the cosiness of our store, as well as our excellent customer service.”
