More cold-callers will be given the cold shoulder in Bradford from today.
The Bolton and Undercliffe cold-calling control zone is being extended to cover The Lakes and Kingsdale areas, bringing an extra 2,500 properties into the zone.
Councillor Imran Hussain, deputy leader of Bradford Council, said: “We all have the right to feel safe in our own home and these zones are a big step in that direction.”
Residents will receive packs containing advice on dealing with cold callers, a sticker for their front door and contact numbers for advice. Signs will be put up at entrances to the area.
