Bradford cheerleaders returned from a national competition with a cluster of trophies.
Three squads from Cheervision Yorkshire entered the International Cheerleading Coalition competition at Norbreck Castle in Blackpool last weekend.
The squads competed in different divisions, taking home a first place, a second place and a third place.
Head coach Siara Illing-Ahmed said: “Cheerleading is an exciting form of exercise which develops stamina, strength, team ethic, discipline and fun. We perform All Star American Style Cheer which includes stunts, lifts, dance, jumps and tumble.
“We are an inclusive squad so everyone who comes to cheer with us no matter their age, gender or ability, is given the opportunity to compete. It is fantastic seeing the cheerleaders rewarded with such prestigious accolades.”
Cheervision Yorkshire runs a club at Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School, Brighouse, on Fridays between 4.30pm and 8pm. For more information, e-mail siara@cheervisionyorkshire.
