Police have appealed for information after almost £9,000 of frozen food was stolen in Bradford.
A total of 165 boxes were taken when thieves broke into a supermarket’s large cold store, by jemmying the lock, in Manningham Lane, overnight on Wednesday, January 29.
It is believed that a large car or van would have been used to remove the boxes, which contained prawns, king prawns, duck breasts, chicken breasts and fish fillets.
PC Natalie Watson, who is investigating the theft, said: “It is possible that the thieves will have sold, or will try to sell, these items on to a restaurant, or they could work in the catering trade themselves.
“We would also be interested to hear from anyone who has been offered boxes of frozen food for sale at a reduced price in the last week.”
