Bingley-based online fashion retailer Damart UK has scooped a top customer service award.

The company, best known for its thermal wear, has been awarded the Institute of Customer Service ServiceMark accreditation.

Damart, which employs more than 700 staff in Bingley and its Steeton warehouse, has nearly two million UK customers, most of them over 55.

As part of the accreditation process, Damart workers and a sample of customers completed questionnaires and an audit was carried out of the headquarters and warehouse.

Stuart Creeley, director of customer service, said: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. It was heartening to receive a top customer satisfaction score from our customers.”
