SIR – Why does the Council need a consultation on the markets? All they need to do is shop in town instead of a supermarket, take a tape recorder with them and personally talk to all the traders at both markets?
Get shoppers involved for their opinions too, not just for a day either. Then perhaps for once they will have listened to public opinions at little cost.
Commonsense is needed here, not barmy ideas – look what happened last time traders were moved up to the Rawson unit? Enough said.
