A charity supporting blind people has received a cash boost from a Gomersal brewing company.

Kegspertise has given a portion of its profits to fund bowls sessions for Society of the Blind of Dewsbury, Batley and District.

The society had its Government funding cut last year, resulting in activities being suspended and staff hours reduced.

Charity manager Lisa Bownes said: “The members couldn’t thank Andy enough and they were all glad to be bowling again.”
