Police are trying to identify the driver of a white car which was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Wibsey, Bradford.
The man was walking with his partner along Smith Avenue and, as they turned on to Colbrook Avenue, he stumbled off the kerb into the path of the car.
The driver stopped and helped the injured man and was told that everything was fine and to continue on his journey, which he did.
However, the pedestrian collapsed again further down the road and was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where it was discovered he had fractured his skull.
The driver is described as a white man, aged 20 to 25. The car was relatively new.
If anyone witnessed the incident, which happened at 8.40pm on Thursday, or knows anything about it, they should call the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101.
