Bradford MP David Ward has given his backing to a scheme that supports universities in recruiting and supporting students with limited access to higher education.

Student Opportunities, a National Union of Students initiative, is set to have its funding reduced by 60 per cent in an attempt to reduce spending by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.

NUS officers and union representatives have been campaigning for Student Opportunities by sharing photographs on Twitter and social media, and calling on MPs to raise the issue in Parliament.
