Police are appealing for information after thieves stole floodlights from a charity railway at Bolton Abbey near Skipton.
The three gas-powered Bullfinch lights were taken overnight on New Year’s Eve from the Embsay and Bolton steam railway. The lights provided lighting for the car park over the festive season.
PC Simon Crossley said: “The loss of the lights has had a big impact on the operation of the railway, which is a charity and operates for the enjoyment of local people and visitors.”
