A man was fined after he visited a West Bowling shop stinking of cannabis.
The man was stopped outside a shop on Tuesday by a PCSO who could smell the pungent drug on him.
He was detained and found to be in possession of a small amount of the class B drug. The drugs were seized and the man fined.
A spokesman for the Great Horton and Little Horton NPT said the PCSO’s “keen sense of smell” had led to the man being stopped.
Sergeant David Hirst said: "If you suspect any drug use or you think cannabis is being grown near you, please report it to us on 101 or crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
