People in Calderdale have one last chance to give their views on a plan to turn all residential areas into 20mph zones.
The move is being considered by Calderdale Council and the deadline for people to have their say is tomorrow.
Cabinet member for the environment, Councillor Barry Collins, said: “We would prefer to introduce 20mph speed limits in all residential areas to slow down vehicles and reduce the number of accidents and improve pedestrian safety.
“If the 20mph speed limit is only introduced outside schools, it wouldn’t necessarily do the job, as these roads are only a small part of a child’s journey. Introducing this limit across Calderdale should improve safety for all road users.
“We would like as many people as possible to complete the online questionnaire.”
