Ilkley Brewery boss Chris Ives was at an annual real-ale festival in the southern United States where four of his brews were featured.
The annual Atlanta cask-ale testing coincided with Ilkley Brewery’s second shipment of beers to the US.
Nearly 7,000 bottles of The Mayan and Siberia ales arrived for distribution to specialist shops and bars across Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.
A third shipment is due to leave Ilkley at the end of this month.
Four UK breweries showcased ales at the festival, where four of Ilkley Brewery’s award-winning beers were given the taste test .
Chris said: “Chatting to other brewers and swapping ideas can be a great way to enhance our knowledge base.
“We are hoping our US importer will place regular and more varied orders from us throughout the year.”
