A member of staff at Bradford University has been named a finalist in this year’s national British Muslim Awards.
Director of Student Success in the Academic Development Unit, Nadira Mirza, has been shortlisted in the Services to Education category.
The Salford City Stadium in Manchester will play host to the second annual British Muslim Awards, presented by the Islamic Bank of Britain, tomorrow.
On being nominated, Nadira said she was humbled, adding: “It was a complete shock to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award, I had no idea I had even been nominated.
“It will be an honour to spend an evening in the company of such inspiring people and to be celebrating the success of British Muslims from across the country.”
