West Yorkshire Police, and the other Yorkshire forces, will work with crime prevention charity People United Against Crime and a university in the fight against business crime.
A £49,000 grant will be used to create networks for evidence-based policing so that police methods and techniques for tackling crime can be tested, helping the service to become more efficient.
It will develop suitable training materials for officers in the Yorkshire forces to tackle crime against businesses. Help is targeted at small and medium sized businesses offering guidance to help them resist cybercrime and ‘traditional’ physical crime types.
