Plans for an illuminated bus stop advert in Bradford city centre have been blocked by the Council because of the harm it would do to the surrounding conservation area.
Paul Richardson had applied for the advert to be installed at the bus stop outside the Grade I-listed Wool Exchange on Market Street.
But officers refused the application, saying: “The advertisements would represent an obtrusive and strident feature along the public realm of Market Street, thereby having an adverse visual affect on the character and appearance of the City Centre Conservation Area.”
