A large crowd of people witnessed the opening of the new memorial wall in Bradford on Saturday by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for West Yorkshire with the service conducted by the Bishop of Bradford.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford was also in attendance, as well as members of families of those named on the wall.
From an initial suggestion, it has taken nearly two years of planning by a small team of people from the council and Royal British Legion to put this idea into place. It is to be hoped that no more names will be added from current or future conflicts.
If you know of a service person who you think should be added to the list, please contact either the Lord Mayor’s office or the Royal British Legion.
