A charity that provides free veterinary treatment to pets in need in Bradford is appealing for runners of this year’s London Marathon to raise money for them.
Fundraisers at PDSA are hoping runners who have secured their own place at the flagship running event in April will select the pet charity to receive any donations from family and friends.
Brenda Smith, PDSA’s fundraising manager, said: “Every year the fantastic fundraising efforts of runners at the London Marathon enable PDSA’s vets and nurses to treat thousands of pets in need.”
Nationally, PDSA cares for around 400,000 pets a year, whose owners would otherwise struggle to afford veterinary care for their beloved companions.
