Adventurers are being given the chance to take part in the trip of a lifetime to raise money for Manorlands and help the hospice celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The Sue Ryder hospice at Oxenhope is staging a Nepal trek in November and registration is now under way.
An open evening has been organised at the hospice on Thursday for people to learn more about the challenge. The Manorlands fundraising team will be joined at the event by an expedition leader from tour operator Discover Adventure, who will give an illustrated talk about their own experiences of trekking in Nepal.
The open evening takes place in the hospice’s Woodhouse Gate from 6.30pm.
During the expedition, participants will spend six days trekking among the world’s highest mountains, including the Annapurna region.
There is a £245 registration fee and each person is asked to raise £2,995. Return flights, accommodation, support and most food are included.
Among those who have already signed up is Mandy Smith, a finance assistant at the hospice.
