Staff and pupils at Carlton Bolling College, Bradford, donned yellow clothes and eye-catching hats to raise money for charity.
They also sold daffodil pins, raising more than £600 for the city’s Marie Curie Hospice, which cares for more than 1,100 people every year.
Caroline Headley, of the school, said: “We chose to raise money for Marie Curie as the Year 12 Health and Social Care students had visited as part of their assignment work. We were surprised about the costs of running the hospice on a daily basis and wanted to help in any way we could.
“It is a charity close to the heart of the school as a member of staff had recently passed away in the hospice and we wanted to show our support.”
Community fundraiser Rebecca Ross said: ‘We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at Carlton Bolling College for raising such a fantastic amount.”
