Young footballers in Otley are cheering thanks to a £1,000 donation.
The money, from the Freemasons of Yorkshire, West Riding will help Otley AC Juniors fund its coaching equipment ‘wish list’.
The club was nominated by Harewood Lodge No 5667 and the grant was made through the Provincial Grand Master’s Fund.
Deputy Provincial Grand Master In Charge Jack Pigott said: “Thanks to our members we are able to offer financial support to charities and good causes throughout the province on a regular basis.
“I am always impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the organisations we help, and I hope our financial support will go some way to assist them in continuing the valuable work they do.
“In the last 25 years the Province has given almost £3 million to support local, non-Masonic causes.”
