Homeless people have been helped to find shelter to avoid spending freezing nights on the streets.
The city’s Cold Weather Provision is triggered when temperatures drop to zero degrees.
The scheme’s chairman Adam Clark, of charity Hope Housing, said that had happened at the weekend and could do so again at the end of this week.
During cold snaps, hostels and housing projects offer bed spaces for rough sleepers – on top of the service they already provide – as part of the project between Bradford Council and several charities.
Mr Clark said the provision had been open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
“We had a couple of people access the service,” he said.
“The highest numbers we’ve had have been about 15 or 16.”
Bradford Day Shelter opens a referral desk between 2pm and 4pm when the provision is open when support is on offer to help people find more permanent accommodation.
