People applying for visas for family members are suffering unacceptable delays, according to an MP.
Bradford East MP David Ward (Lib Dem) met Immigration Minister Mark Harper MP to discuss problems with the way immigration cases are being handled by the Home Office.
Mr Ward said he had had some worrying cases from his constituency of delays in processing family visas and reorganisations at the Home Office.
He said: “The quality of service that my constituents get from the Home Office is still not good enough.
“We have cases where people are supplying comprehensive and accurate information. However, they are being told that they need to provide further information when this is not necessary. This is either extremely bad service or a tactic to delay applications. I discussed these cases with the minister and he promised to look into them.”
