The Bishop of Bradford will lead a service to dedicate a new war memorial in Bradford on Saturday.
Bradford Memorial Wall, in the memorial gardens near the Alhambra Theatre, has been created to commemorate the 30 servicemen and women from the district who have given their lives in service since 1947.
The Right Reverend Nick Baines will lead the 11am service, which will also be attended by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Khadim Hussain, Canon Sam Corley, the Deputy Lieutenant Major Stan Hardy and the High Sheriff of West Yorkshire Virginia Lloyd.
Prayers, poems and acts of remembrance will be said with hymns and music provided by the City of Bradford Brass Band.
The names of those inscribed on the memorial wall will be read out, before the Lord Mayor and the Deputy Lieutenant lay wreaths.
As the ceremony concludes, the families and friends of those inscribed on the memorial wall will be invited to lay their own personal tributes.
The new memorial wall is a joint project between Bradford Council and the Royal British Legion.
Councillor Andrew Thornton, executive member for environment and sport, said: "I think it is very important that Bradford commemorates those who have made the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country and this memorial helps us to do this.”
