The Health and Safety Executive confirmed last night that it is carrying out a probe into how a woman fell from an upper floor on to a loading bay at a Bradford textiles factory.
The 54-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the incident at M A Amini Textiles, (above) based at Providence Mills, Harris Street, at 12.25pm on Monday.
After inspectors visited the site again yesterday, an HSE spokesman said: “I can confirm that this is an HSE matter and we have now started our investigation.”
The woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where it is understood she remained in a stable condition last night. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The Bradford company is described as a wholesale cash and carry, selling bedding and quilts.
