Spud lovers will flock to Saltaire on February 15 when West Yorkshire Organic Group holds its Potato Day in the Exhibition Building.
Promising to be “the best source of seed potato in the district”, some 40 varieties will be on offer including hard-to-find classics and a wide range of Sárpo potatoes .
A big hit with the public last year, Sárpo potatoes are the most blight-resistant potatoes available and are bred by the Savari Trust in Wales.
Admission is free, tubers are 15p each and can be bought singly.
There will be a café “for light refreshment amidst the frenzy” says WYOG.
