People across Bradford with urgent health problems are being reminded GPs are opening extra hours to see patients so there is no need to queue at Accident and Emergency on Saturdays for the rest of this month.
Funding from Bradford City and Bradford Districts Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) means many practices are staying open longer.
To find out if your surgery is one of them go to bradfordcityccg.nhs.uk/your-health or bradforddistrictsccg.nhs.uk/your-health.
Practices will also have this information on their websites, NHS Choices and in reception areas.
Dr Aamer Khan, urgent- care lead for Bradford City CCG, said: “It’s really good news that so many practices in Bradford are opening on Saturdays throughout January, which is one of the busiest months of the year for the NHS.”
