NFU members across West Yorkshire are welcoming a new county adviser for the New Year.
Chris Dickinson has joined the North-East team from the NFU’s Warwickshire headquarters. For the last two years he has worked as the national poultry advisor dealing with key issues such as beak trimming.
Now he will be the first point of contact for more than 1,200 farmers over a large area stretching from Skipton to Goole.
In his new job he will be working closely with members on issues affecting the county including rural crime and flooding. He will also provide specialist assistance on poultry, sugar and root crops.
“It is a real pleasure to be working in such a diverse area and although the region faces many challenges ahead I think the outlook is very positive,” he said.
