Skipton Building Society Camerata is on track to make its tenth anniversary unforgettable.
In an event believed to be the first of its kind at Leeds Railway Station, the professional musicians will give a free classical concert on the concourse on Monday.
From 5pm to 6pm, it will perform uplifting classical pieces to lift the spirits of passing commuters on what has been dubbed Blue Monday, supposedly the most depressing day of the year.
Ben Crick (pictured), artistic director and BBC Music Fellow, said: “We really wanted to help people to feel a bit brighter on Blue Monday.”
A second free concert will be given at Skipton Girls’ High School, at 8pm, with tickets allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The concerts launch the orchestra’s 10th anniversary programme.
