Businesses and Age UK are teaming up to hold a coffee morning with a difference in Bailiff Bridge, Brig-house, in aid of elderly charity Independent Age, helping people live at home instead of going into care.
The event will be at Bailiff Bridge Community Centre on Saturday, February 1, between 10am and 2pm.
Brighouse businesswoman Julie Gomersall, of Julesupport, said: “As more of us are living longer it is vital that we do all we can to help older people to continue to live at home, perhaps with some support, instead of going into care.”
Representatives of the police, the fire and rescue service, Calder-dale Council’s housing energy action team and Age UK will attend.
