Bradford College has earned a national award for pioneering virtual learning for pharmacy qualifications after more than 60 years of delivering courses in a traditional setting.
The college won an inaugural NEF Innovation Award for best example of innovation in a STEM course or training programme.
It was recognised for the innovative work carried out by its Vocational Science Department on science, technology, engineering and maths education.
The department previously scooped the partnership award at the NHS Yorkshire and Humber apprenticeship awards and also won the UK Cogent Life Sciences Skills Awards – the first for the life sciences sector.
Anita Lall, programme manager for science and maths, said: “I am so proud of the staff and their innovative approach to education and training.”
