A Keighley record company has released a single to raise money for Parkinson’s disease charities.
Bosses at 48-inch Records are among DJs who have done remixes of the song Kilimanjaro. Proceeds will go to Funding Neuro and Wobbly Williams, sister organisations that between them organise events to support research helping people with conditions affecting their brains and spinal columns.
The song was created by Sheffield DJ Dave Ryan, who last year climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Funding Neuro. He has released the dance track through 48-inch Records , which is run by Dave Heaton and Dave Bennett from a recording studio in Ingrow.
Remixes are available by the two Daves under their alias, The Mash Up Corporation, by an American DJ, and by Keighley man Phil Wrighton, under the name Where’s North. The single is being promoted by Keighley DJ Andy Plews, who helps at 48-inch Records and himself has Parkinson’s disease.
Andy said: “Funding Neuro and Wobbly Williams take a lighter hearted view of Parkinson’s.”
Kilimanjaro can be downloaded from iTunes and Juno.
