Landlord Mickey Thompson will this Sunday bid goodbye to the Great Northern after running it for only 12 months.
TV actor and entrepreneur Mr Thompson (pictured) said he was unable to make the Ingrow pub pay despite introducing new activities and attractions.
The 43-year-old reckons he has lost £8,000 since taking over the Halifax Road hostelry, following the retirement of the long-time landlords.
He said: “I will be jobless and homeless on Monday. I’ve worked hard for 12 months but I’ve made so many losses.”
Mr Thompson said he would now return to acting, as well as running his agency Worth Valley Talent.
A spokesman for Admiral Taverns, which owns the Great Northern, said it would open as normal next week despite Mr Thompson leaving.
