A charity is opening a pop-up shop to showcase the skills of the growing number of carers across Bradford and Airedale.
Carers’ Resource hopes the initiative in Market Street, Bradford, will appeal to those unpaid carers who make products in their spare time as a way of helping them earn some extra money or will support them in setting up their own small business.
The doors to the “pop up” shop open from March 3 to 8.
Stella Elson, locality and service manager for The Carers’ Resource, said: “We know from the work we do with thousands of carers across the district that there is a wide pool of talent out there.”
Any carers interested in getting involved in the venture should go along to a meeting between 10.30am and noon on Thursday at Unit 15, Park View Court, St Paul’s Road, Shipley.
The charity is also looking for helpers keen to improve skills around customer service and merchandising. To find out more, call (01274) 449660.
