A Stanbury reservoir was chosen as the location to reveal the name of the 100-day festival which will take place in the run-up to this year's Tour de France.
Yorkshire Festival 2014 will showcase the region's finest creative talents as part of the prelude to the Grand Depart, which will pass through Keighley district.
Yorkshire Water's parent company, Kelda Group, has agreed to give the festival its full support.
To announce its involvement, Yorkshire Water this morning took the wraps off a large banner bearing the official name of the festival at its Lower Laithe Reservoir.
Festival executive producer, Henrietta Duckworth, said: "As one of the region's biggest environmental investors, employers and landonwers, Yorkshire Water has recognised what a fantastic opportunity the festival is for our region."
