A head-on collision closed a major road for around an hour last night, with four casualties taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called out to Bradford Road in Oakenshaw at around 9.30pm after there was a crash involving a car and a minibus taxi.
Firefighters from Odsal and Cleckheaton fire stations removed doors to free both drivers.
The man who had been driving the taxi suffered head and neck injuries, while the woman who had been driving the car had pelvic and abdominal injuries, Odsal crew commander Dave Jones said.
Both drivers were taken to hospital. Two women who had been passengers in the taxi, believed to be a mother and daughter, were also taken to hospital to be checked over.
Mr Jones said the police closed the road for between an hour and an hour and a half as they investigated the scene.
