How to heat better and how to eat better were the messages at a community help event run by Bradford Moor action group Street Life on Saturday.
Dozens of people called into the Thornbury Centre in Leeds Old Road to learn how to successfully save cash by switching gas and electricity suppliers.
And there were also top tips on cooking-up delicious bargain meals, said project manager Richard Dunbar.
“We were showing people how they can get much better deals from their energy providers by shopping around, which is so important for many people in BD3 who are really struggling,” he said. “Our aim is to empower people and that means providing them with the skills and knowledge to make life better.”
