A review of former Batley and Spen Conservative MP Elizabeth Peacock’s debut book is to appear in the political magazine Order Order.
Mrs Peacock’s autobiography, A Yorkshire Lass at the Court of Thatcher – charting her 14 years within the political arena – is due to appear in the next edition of the magazine compiled by the Association of Former members of Parliament.
Produced by Barnsley-based Pen & Sword books, it focuses on Mrs Peacock’s role as one of the few female MPs in Westminster at that time and features frank assessments of the men and women she worked with, including Margaret Thatcher.
