Two men were taken to hospital after a head-on crash in Thornton today.
The collision, involving a white van and a Peugeot car, happened just after 3pm where Egypt Road meets Dean Lane. The van also knocked down a nearby wall.
The driver of the van was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with head injuries, said the fire service. The driver of the car was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary with chest injuries.
A police spokesman said a large amount of nails and oil was left on the road after the crash.
Fire crews from Fairweather Green and Bradford stations cut a side off both vehicles to free the men.
A spokesman from Fairweather Green station said the road was closed while the crash was investigated.
