West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit has issued advice to motorists if they see a police car with its blue lights and sirens on. A spokesman said on Twitter: “We really appreciate all your help in letting us through when we’re on blue lights. Please don’t slam all on in the fast lane. If you can’t move immediately, don’t worry, find somewhere safe to move into, we know it can be hard, but keep yourself safe as well.”
