Bradford’s world famous Black Dyke Band is to perform at Morley Town Hall.
The most successful contesting band in the world, from Queensbury, is led by renowned conductor Nicholas Childs and will perform a varied programme featuring Elgar’s powerful Pomp and Circumstance, Wonderful World and Brodsky’s Be My Love featuring a baritone solo by Katrina Marzella.
The programme also includes Mendelssohn’s lively Ruy Blas, the band’s signature March, Queensbury and the Latin-flavoured Tico Tico featuring a cornet solo by Richard Marshall.
Last year the band was crowned champions at the English National Championship. It will be at Morley Town Hall on Saturday, January 18. For tickets ring (0113) 224 3801.
