Council wardens have been given smartphones so they can record their work, take photos and read emails on the go. It means they can log problems such as broken pay-and-display machines without having to go back to the office, and follows a successful pilot project, a new Council report has revealed.
The initiative will be discussed at the next meeting of the Environment and Waste Management Overview and Scrutiny Committee, on Tuesday.
