A 30-year-old man who tried to pin the blame on his mother when he was caught speeding in Bradford has been jailed for three months.
Kamil Klonowski got his mum to sign a form when he was summonsed for breaking the speed limit on January 16 last year.
She did not realise what it was and ended up being called up before the city’s magistrates, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday. Klonowski, of Kettlewell Drive, Canterbury estate, Bradford, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of public justice between January and September. Judge Peter Benson said his mother was “dismayed and embarrassed” when she was summonsed and told officials she had not been driving.
“You put your mother through this considerable inconvenience and the time of the court was wasted,” Judge Benson said.
