Police have hailed a multi-agency action day in Otley a success.
Aireborough & Wharfedale Neighbourhood Policing Team joined forces with Leeds City Council officers, Casac (Community Action and Support Against Crime) and other partners for the event last month.
Focusing on the Weston Lane area, the day saw more than 100 residents visit the mobile police contact point to raise concerns.
Officers, responding to highlighted issues in the neighbourhood, also cracked down on speeding motorists, with two warned on the day and three prosecuted for breaking the limit.
Casac, meanwhile, visited a number of homes and will – with match-funding from ward councillors – help make 15 properties more secure.
Anti-social behaviour and housing officers also visited houses on the estate, and the event was rounded off by police and licensing officers carrying out evening checks at the town’s pubs and clubs.
