Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was badly damaged in a suspected arson attack in Skipton.
A dark blue BMW 320D was set on fire on Rombalds Drive in the town at around 11.30pm on Thursday.
A man, described as about 5ft 9ins tall and of an athletic build, was seen running from the BMW and getting into a red hatchback parked up nearby with its engine revving.
The car then sped off towards Roughaw Road.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact them with information.
