Volunteers put on a blooming good show when they turned out to do some planting in Rawdon.
Despite the wind and rain, they did their bit by planting on the grassed area between Over Lane and Larkfield Road.
Parish councillor Phil Gomersall said: “Eight large bags of daffodils and a fair number of crocus bulbs were planted around the perimeter of the area.”
All of the volunteers put their names forward to be part of the new Rawdon in Bloom.
It is now proposed to create a more elaborate planted area at the junction and to decorate Rawdon’s two main shopping areas with hanging baskets.
