A provisional trial date has been set for two men accused of causing the death by dangerous driving of Bradford grandmother Mary Byrne.
Joseph Robinson, 22, of Westminster Gardens, Clayton, and Thomas Healey, 20, of Brow Lane, Clayton, appeared for a preliminary hearing at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
The pair have been charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of Mrs Byrne, 51, on April 20 last year by driving dangerously in Mandale Road, Horton Bank Top.
Robinson is also charged with conspiracy to defraud by conspiring with others to make a false statement for the purpose of obtaining a certificate of insurance on April 19.
Robinson and Healey did not enter a plea to any charges during the short hearing and the case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing on March 13. They were granted unconditional bail.
A provisional date for a trial, which is expected to last about ten days, was set for June 9.
