Firefighters were called to Leeds Bradford Airport today after a plane was damaged by a flock of birds as it came into land.
Crews from Rawdon and Cleckheaton stations were placed on standby after part of the small aircraft suffered structural damage on its approach.
A fire service spokesman said the two people on board the plane were not injured and that the aircraft landed safely.
The incident happened at about 11am.
