Volunteers are being urged by the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire to get involved in the Tour de France when it is staged in the region by applying by today’s deadline.
Mark Burns-Williamson has been invited to sit on the governing board of the Tour de France, which comes to Yorkshire on July 5 and 6.
He is urging locals to get involved, with 10,000 volunteers needed. They will welcome international visitors and support National Park rangers and the emergency services. To sign up, register at letouryorkshire.
